Payment terms.

These terms explain billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for paid MakiRoll plans. They supplement the Customer Terms and the terms of the provider that bills you.

Scope and checkout

These Payment Terms form part of the MakiRoll Customer Terms. They apply when you buy a MakiRoll subscription or other paid product. Your first three videos may be created free; the current plan, features, usage allowance, billing period, currency, price, tax, and total are shown before you confirm a purchase.

The information shown at checkout is the offer you accept. If marketing copy differs from checkout, checkout controls. Unless stated otherwise, plan access is personal to the purchasing account and may not be transferred or resold.

Who processes your payment

New web purchases through Creem

Creem, operated by Armitage Labs OÜ, acts as Merchant of Record and contractual reseller for new web purchases. Creem charges you, calculates and remits applicable indirect taxes, issues the invoice, and handles payment operations and refunds. By completing a Creem checkout, you also agree to the Creem Buyer Terms. If these Payment Terms conflict with mandatory law or Creem’s terms for matters Creem controls, those rules prevail to the extent of the conflict.

Existing web subscriptions

An eligible existing web subscription may continue through Stripe and connected entitlement services until it is cancelled or migrated. The billing provider shown on your receipt or statement is the provider you should use to manage that subscription.

Mobile app purchases

Purchases made through Apple’s App Store or Google Play are billed by that store and are also subject to its purchase, cancellation, and refund rules. RevenueCat may help MakiRoll recognize your active entitlement, but it does not replace the store as your billing provider.

Subscriptions and renewal

A subscription starts when your payment provider confirms the purchase. It renews automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize the billing provider to charge the current recurring price and applicable taxes using your saved payment method.

Paid benefits and usage allowances are tied to the plan displayed at purchase. Unused recurring allowances do not roll over unless the offer expressly says they do. MakiRoll may make a purchase available across supported platforms when you use the same linked account, but availability can depend on store and entitlement rules.

Prices, taxes, and currency

Prices can vary by country, currency, platform, tax treatment, and promotion. The provider may calculate VAT, sales tax, or similar charges from your billing location and applicable law. Your bank or payment provider may separately charge currency-conversion or payment fees that MakiRoll does not control.

We may change a recurring price for a future renewal. You will receive any notice required by law or the billing provider, and the change will not take effect before the date stated in that notice. You can cancel before the new price applies.

Cancellation

Cancel through the provider that billed you. For a Creem purchase, use the link in your receipt, the Creem Customer Portal, or MakiRoll’s Manage subscription control. For an App Store or Google Play purchase, use that store’s subscription settings. For an eligible legacy Stripe subscription, use the management link supplied by MakiRoll.

Unless your provider or applicable law says otherwise, cancellation stops the next renewal and paid access continues until the end of the current paid period. Deleting MakiRoll, deleting your account, or losing access to an email address does not automatically cancel a subscription.

Failed payments

If a renewal charge fails, the billing provider may retry the payment and ask you to update your payment method. Paid features may be limited or suspended after any grace or retry period. You remain responsible for charges you validly authorized before cancellation.

Refunds and withdrawal rights

Contact [email protected] first if a purchase did not work as expected. Refunds are processed by the provider that charged you and are subject to its procedures, the offer shown at checkout, and applicable law. MakiRoll cannot directly issue an App Store or Google Play refund.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights. If you have a statutory cancellation or withdrawal right, the checkout provider will apply it as required. For immediately supplied digital content or services, you may be asked to consent to immediate performance and acknowledge how that affects a withdrawal right.

Promotions and affiliate referrals

Trials, discounts, credits, and promotional prices may have additional eligibility, duration, and renewal conditions shown with the offer. Unless stated otherwise, they cannot be combined, transferred, redeemed for cash, or reapplied after expiry.

An affiliate may receive a commission if a qualifying Creem web purchase is attributed to their referral link. That attribution does not add a fee to your checkout price or change your rights as a customer.

Disputes and contact

Please contact us before starting a chargeback so we can investigate. This does not limit any legal right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge. Fraudulent or abusive disputes may lead to suspension while the matter is reviewed.
